The tie-dyed OPAC ball

This Second Life (SL) hack is slightly more useful and is my first attempt at integrating OPAC functionality into a SL object…

The tie-dyed OPAC ball is fairly basic, but can understand a few commands entered via the chat line:
1) it can perform a search of our OPAC, returning the number of results and also the title of the item most checked out…
/1 search xml and perl

2) it can list the books I currently have on loan…
/1 list

…details of any items I’ve requested…
/1 requests

…and the amount I owe in outstanding fines…
/1 fines
